Terms of use

The service

Namealoud provides free name-generator tools and original editorial pages. You choose a tool, set filters, and receive a list of suggested names. We may store that result so we can show it again. We may show ads around the pages. Ads are not required for the tools to run.

There is no account. Access is through the public website. We may rate-limit requests. We may refuse or interrupt service if the tools are abused or if we need to repair the product.

Namealoud is the editorial team. We are not a government name registry, a trademark office, a law firm, or a filing service. We do not register a baby name, a company, a domain, or a social handle for you.

Draft names, not clearance

Generated names are drafts from a language model plus a local fallback if the model is unavailable. They are starting points. They are not:

• Legal advice
• Trademark, copyright, or company-name clearance
• Proof that a name is unique, kind, or unused
• A guarantee of domain, handle, or registry availability
• A census rank, etymology, or official meaning

You are responsible for the name you actually use. Check the records that matter for your case: a trademark search, a company register, a domain lookup, a platform username check, or local naming rules. Editorial pages explain how to think. They do not replace that work.

Your inputs

You retain whatever rights you already have in text you type. By submitting a form you give us permission to process that text so we can generate names, store the result, stop abuse, and improve the product. Do not submit content you are not allowed to share.

Do not paste secrets, identity documents, or other people’s private data into a generator. Our privacy policy explains what we store.

Acceptable use

You may use Namealoud for personal, family, creative, and ordinary business naming.

You may not:

• Impersonate a real person in a way meant to deceive or harm
• Harass, threaten, or target anyone
• Use the tools to break the law or to evade a court order
• Flood, scrape, or reverse-engineer the service in a way that harms it
• Bypass rate limits or probe the site for security holes
• Submit malware, spam, or automated junk through the contact form
• Copy our editorial pages in bulk and republish them as your own

We may block an address, drop a request, or ignore a message if we believe these rules were broken. We do not have to give a warning first when the harm is obvious.

Content and intellectual property

Editorial text, layout, and original collections on Namealoud belong to us unless a page says otherwise. You may quote a short passage with a link to the source page. You may not copy a whole post, tool page, or prompt set.

Generated names are yours to consider and to use at your own risk. Famous marks, book characters, and other protected names still belong to their owners. A generator can accidentally echo a known brand. That does not give you a right to use it.

Feedback you send through the contact form may be used to fix the product. We will not treat a bug report as a paid consulting brief.

Third-party services

Generation may be handled by an outside AI provider. Groq is the default. Advertising is served by Google AdSense. Site usage is measured with Google Analytics. Those companies have their own terms and privacy policies. A problem on their side can delay a result or change an ad. We are not responsible for their sites or their ads.

Advertising

The site displays ads through Google AdSense. An advertiser is not an endorsement. Ads do not decide which names appear in a result list. Details and opt-out links are in the privacy policy.

Disclaimers

The site is provided “as is.” We work to keep pages accurate and the generators available, but we do not warrant that a name is safe to use, that a page is complete, or that the service will be uninterrupted. Model output can be wrong, biased, or too close to an existing name.

To the fullest extent the law allows, Namealoud is not liable for lost profits, lost data, legal costs, or indirect damages that come from using a generated name or relying on editorial text. If a court finds that we owe a direct damage, our total liability for that claim is limited to the amount you paid us for the service in the prior three months. The service is free, so that amount is zero unless we later sell a paid feature and you bought it.

Some places do not allow certain disclaimers. In those places, the limits apply only as far as the law allows.

Availability and changes

We may add tools, retire tools, change models, or edit these terms. The date at the top of this page is the latest version. Continued use after a change means you accept the new terms. If a change is material, we will keep the date honest so you can tell.

We may stop the service. We do not promise that a saved browser list or a past generation will remain available forever.
